Adaptive Comfort Clothing is a Canadian-owned family business based in Vancouver, British Columbia. We design and manufacture adaptive clothing in Canada for seniors, people with limited mobility, and individuals who need assistance with everyday dressing.
Our story began with a need in our own family.
When founder Josie Delgiglio's mother had her leg amputated at 80 years old, something as ordinary as getting dressed became significantly more difficult. Traditional clothing simply wasn't designed for the realities she was now facing.
Josie began looking for a better solution—clothing that could make dressing easier without sacrificing comfort, dignity or personal style.
That experience became the foundation of Adaptive Comfort Clothing.
From One Family's Need to a Canadian Adaptive Clothing Company
What began as a solution for Josie's mother grew into a family business with a much bigger purpose.
We recognized that many seniors, people living with limited mobility, and their caregivers face the same challenges every day. Pulling clothing over the head, lifting arms, standing to put on pants or managing traditional fastenings can make getting dressed unnecessarily difficult.
Our adaptive clothing is thoughtfully designed to make assisted dressing simpler while still looking and feeling like everyday clothing.
